Why It Matters

Do I actually need new gutters?

You probably need new gutters if yours leak at multiple seams, sag between hangers, overflow in normal rain, or show rust and peeling paint along the runs. A single leak or a pulled away section is usually a job for gutter repair instead, and we will tell you honestly which one your home needs at the free estimate.

Gutters that cannot keep up during the Bay Area rainy season dump water right at the base of your walls, where it can stain siding, rot fascia boards, and pool against the foundation. A new system fixes the problem at the source: we size the gutter and downspouts for your roof area, set the correct pitch so water actually reaches the downspouts, and fasten everything to hold its line for the long haul. Every run gets a clean, color matched finish so the gutters look like they belong on the house.

Materials

What materials can I choose from?

You can choose from four materials, each with its own strengths. We will walk you through them at your estimate.

Aluminum

Lightweight, rust resistant, and available in more than 15 colors. The most popular choice for Bay Area homes.

Galvanized

Strong galvanized steel for added durability where extra strength is needed.

Steel (Prepainted)

Prepainted steel for a tough, long lasting finish that holds its color.

Copper

Premium copper gutters that age into a classic patina and add real curb appeal.

Profiles and Sizes

What profiles and sizes do you install?

We install four profiles in multiple sizes, with square or round downspouts. Bigger roofs and steeper pitches shed more water, so we often step up to a 6 or 7 inch profile where a 5 inch would overflow. If your roofline is unusual, our custom gutters team fabricates profiles to fit.

Two Line Style 5 inch or 7 inch
One Line Style 5 inch fascia
Plain Style 5 inch or 7 inch
O.G. Style 5 inch or 6 inch
Downspouts Square or round
Pricing Factors

What affects the cost of new gutters?

The biggest cost factors are total footage, the material you choose, and how hard your roofline is to work on. Copper costs more than aluminum, a two story home takes more time than a single story ranch, and a roof with lots of corners and short runs takes longer than a simple rectangle. The number of downspouts and whether old gutters need to come down first also play a part.

Every project starts with a free, no pressure estimate. We measure your home, recommend the right material and profile, and give you a clear price up front. We also accept electronic payments, so settling up is simple. Once your new gutters are on, an occasional gutter cleaning keeps them flowing the way they did on day one.

Commercial and HOA

We install for businesses and HOAs too.

A large part of our work is commercial. We handle installations for property managers, general contractors, hospitality, retail, schools, and large HOA communities across the Bay Area, with commercial clients including Days Inn, Taco Bell, Chili's, and AvalonBay Communities. We show up on schedule, work cleanly around your operations, and keep the water moving.

FAQ

New gutter questions, answered.

What is a seamless gutter?

A seamless gutter is formed as one continuous run along each stretch of roofline, so there are no joints in the middle where leaks usually start. We install seamless gutters in aluminum, galvanized, prepainted steel, and copper, paired with square or round downspouts.

Can you match my house color?

Yes. We offer more than 15 colors and will bring a color chart to your free estimate so you can see the options against your trim and siding before you decide.

Do you replace downspouts too?

Yes. Downspouts are part of every installation. We install square and round downspouts and place them where they actually move water away from the house, not just where the old ones happened to be.

Is the installation under warranty?

Yes. We stand behind every installation with workmanship warranties, and Resolution Gutter Inc. is licensed under #1079338, bonded, and insured.
